Early on, a mentor made Lisa write down what she was actually working for. Not a revenue target — a reason.
"Because it can't be money. I mean, money's nice, but it can't be just money, 'cause money is not — it's not gonna wake you up in the morning."
Her list was specific. A vehicle big enough for all the kids. A house instead of the townhome they were living in. A trip to France. And one solid number she could actually chase.
That number was $52,000 a year. She blew past it.
The point isn't the number. It's that vague goals don't survive a hard month. Specific ones do.
